Ferrieri Forge · How it works

Straight answers before you reach out

Joseph Ferrieri builds custom frontends (usually Next.js and Tailwind), ships on schedule, and keeps hosting and maintenance straightforward. Here's how projects run, what the first call covers, and what helps quote accurately.

Who I work best with

Individuals, freelancers, startups, and small businesses who need a real site or web app with performance, clarity, and conversions, not a generic template filled with placeholder text.

If you want a technical partner who writes clean code, explains tradeoffs in plain language, and respects deadlines, we'll get along. If you need enterprise procurement or a long spec before a hello, I'm probably not the right fit.

I work especially well with family-run trades and small teams who value clarity and longevity over trend-chasing. If you've been burned by cookie-cutter templates or agencies that disappear after launch, we'll build something you can actually maintain.

Trades and family operations rooted in tradition: sites and tools meant to last, the way older craftsmanship was built to be maintained, not replaced every year.

For training and field background (justice and security coursework, engineering discipline, utility work), see About.

What happens on a first call

  1. You share the goal: launch, redesign, new offer, or funnel. Links to anything you have today help.
  2. We align on scope: pages, integrations (forms, analytics, booking tools), and which parts of what I take on fit you best.
  3. You get a clear proposal: timeline, price, and what "done" looks like. No pressure to say yes on the spot.

Nice to have ready (optional)

  • Examples of sites you like (or don't) for visual direction
  • Rough budget range and target launch date
  • Logo, brand colors, and draft copy if you have them (not required to start)

Service area

Do I need to be in the Hudson Valley to work with you?

No. I work with clients nationwide, and most projects run fine fully remote. I'm based in the Hudson Valley and work closely with businesses here when it helps—but you don't have to be local.

Do you work with clients in Poughkeepsie and Dutchess County?

Yes. I partner closely with Hudson Valley businesses, including Poughkeepsie and Dutchess County, on custom websites, dashboards, and marketing—alongside clients elsewhere in the U.S.

Do you build sites for trades and local small businesses?

Yes. I build custom sites and tools for trades, family-run operations, and small teams—quote flows, dashboards, and clear contact paths without template bloat, anywhere in the country.

Common questions

Do I pay before we talk?

No. The first conversation is to see if we're a match. A short list of services is on the home page; I'll confirm details before any invoice.

What stack do you use?

Usually Next.js and Tailwind CSS, deployed on Vercel unless you have another host in mind. I'll recommend the simplest setup that meets your goals.

I'm not sure what I need yet

That's normal. Tell me what you're trying to ship and I'll suggest a scope and a quote that fits — lean launch or something bigger.

How fast do you respond?

I aim for within 24 hours on new inquiries, often faster.

Rare questions

Plain-language answers about staying safe offline, on the device, and ahead of copycats.

Can you harden encryption for sensitive data on my site?

Advanced security features

I can lock your sensitive data with military-grade encryption directly in your site's code, so even if someone steals the data, they can't read it without the key.

What if my app needs to work with no internet, but private info still has to stay safe?

The app can keep saving what it needs right on the phone or laptop, so spotty service isn't a dealbreaker. That stored info can be locked up so a lost or stolen device doesn't mean a stranger can read your customer details or private notes. Typical fits: crews in the field, reporters on the move, anyone who spends time off the grid.

Can you hide how my tool works so competitors can't easily steal it?

I can shield the parts that matter: pricing rules, special formulas, the quirks that make your product yours. On the web, nothing is 100% copy-proof, but we can put real friction in the way of someone cloning your edge. Typical fits: custom quote builders, member pricing, any tool where your advantage is the math behind the scenes.
